Triple R Auto Repair

I came in for a suspension diagnosis and found no evidence of wear and tear. It’s perfectly normal and in good condition. I got my tire repaired due to a nail in the rear passenger side. Roy, the owner took absolutely great care of all my concerns. I highly recommend this auto body shop for any auto repairs.

Roy is hands down the best mechanic I’ve worked with. He has years of experience and has helped me with everything from brake pads and inspections to transmission work. He’s knowledgeable, honest, and always makes sure the job is done right. The prices are the best around, hands down. I highly recommend Roy and Triple R Auto to anyone looking for a trustworthy and experienced mechanic!

Triple R Auto is a great shop! The owner was honest, professional, and made me feel like I was in good hands. It was refreshing to know as a woman someone wasn’t trying to rip me off. Their prices were very reasonable, and I really appreciated the straightforward service. I highly recommend Triple R Auto to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic!

I want to be very fair in this review, so let me share exactly what Triple R Auto Repair offered me: The repair work was creative — in the sense that the problems my car left with were entirely different from the ones it arrived with. I can only assume this is their signature upselling strategy: fix nothing, create something new. The owner was also very communicative. Enthusiastically so, in fact — just not in words I’d feel comfortable repeating in a public forum. I now know a remarkable number of new phrases. I did not ask to learn them. As for pricing, I appreciated the premium experience. It was priced noticeably above every other shop I later consulted — all of whom, interestingly, also told me the original work had not been done correctly. I have since found a mechanic who speaks in complete, civil sentences, charges reasonable rates, and actually fixes cars. The contrast has been educational. I cannot in good conscience recommend Triple R Auto Repair. But if you enjoy paying more to be spoken to poorly and leave with unresolved problems, this is genuinely the place for you. You will not find better at this particular combination of qualities anywhere else on Long Island.

We brought our car to Roy because the engine light went on and the car was shaking. Contrary to what another rater said, Roy absolutely knows how to read the mileage and knows how to do diagnostics. He was right on the mark as to what was wrong with the car. We brought it in on a Saturday close to when he was going to close shop but he waited for us to get there. He did a preliminary diagnostic then. We had the car back that coming Monday by around noon. The car is running beautifully. Another rater noted that Roy advertised 24 hours. I don't see anywhere that Roy advertised 24 hours. Note that he has been in business for over 30 years.
